Kanye West won't ever live this one down

I found this last night on alexa.com. There was a link to this twitter pic, so I went and checked this out. Here's the descripton on the twitter page:

"LMAO! I found this in the fridge at my office.. I had no idea that @Kanye was at my office today."

The comments on the twitter page made it seem this was the funniest thing ever. Me? I barely cracked a smile. Maybe I'm still not feeling all that jolly, but perhaps some people will find this funny.

  1. Hey Gossip Girl! How have you been? Thanks for stopping by. I hope you go through the labels, and check out some of the stuff that has been posted.

Hope everything is going well for you.

  2. so the country is bellyaching about health care and texas just built a 1.5 billion dollar stadium to keep football fans happy.

something is wrong with this country.

What? You just have your priorities out of whack.

  5. You know, RQ has a point. I'm a little upset with my church b/c they just spent a million dollars to erect a HUGE cross that can be seen from miles away! It's pretty amazing, but seriously, couldn't they have used that million for PEOPLE who could benefit from it? I mean, we are in a recession apparently, but my church decides to be flashy and display a BIG BRIGHT WHITE CROSS? I'm surprised they didn't have a neon sign above it saying "We have more money than GOD...please join us!" Sorry, I don't mean to offend, but when I found out how much they spent, it urked me.

  6. You just made a VERY VERY valid point Queen Bee.

    Nice job. (no sarcasm)

  8. "You aren't important dude, just some smuck that got lucky bustin mediocre rhymes."

Well Streets, you can say that about Kanye, but I consider myself important with my mediocre rhymes.

So take that thought with you to bed tonight.

  9. QB,
Religion is the oldest scam still left in this country. I'm not an atheist, more of an agnostic, but I think the church and all the various "religions" out there are a joke. All they do is grab little boys asses and ask for money.....

    Spurs, what's up buddy?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Spurs~ You ARE important... and yes I will take that to bed with me tonight, hope Bitchhog doesn't mind ;)

  11. Francis:

Not much buddy, how are you?

  12. QB,

I felt the same way when they spent millions of dollars on millenium park in Chicago when the chicago public schools needed that money so much more. Not educating children correctly just creates another generation of adults that probably will just end up on state assistance. I didn't understand the point. Chicago already is a city that attracts tourists and they already had navy pier. Was a big metal bean really necessary?

  13. Elfie:

Thanks, and you are important too. And no, I don't think bitchhog would mind.

  14. I have 3 reverends that live next door to me in $700,000 to over a million dollar homes.
All there churches are in the ghetto far away from where they live and they and their wives all drive Benzes and Jaguars.
People who give their money to the church are idiots.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anonymous:

Not ALL churches are like that.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Spurs,

    Most churches are like that.
They are more interested in building massive expensive buildings and so on rather than feeding and clothing people and providing them with somewhere to live.
Some of them are sneakier about it.
The local Catholic Diocese in my town bought the bishop a $400,000 home and keeps that a relative secret.
Also know a Lutheran reverend that has a $350,000 house.
One of my neighbors abuses his congregation and has the kids come over and clean his house, wash his cars and cut his lawn.
He also takes stuff that is donated every year to the church and has a yard sale at his home and keeps the proceeds.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous:

I hear you, I agree most churches are. At least it appears that way.

Your neighbor sounds like a complete scumbag too.

  19. Jesus said, "sell everything you own, give the money to the poor and follow me".

He also said that we should turn the other cheek. CBT says, "he who turns the other cheek gets slapped twice".

Anoymous Asswipe: I saw where you created a blogger id as me. My address is 497 CR513, Gassville, Arkansas. Show your pussy ass up and die. I'll help.

I am going to go with bitch cause you will never show up.

  36. Spurs: I've been busy. I spent three days in Little Rock the first of the week, last night my girl was in town. And remove the comment by Anonymous Asswipe that has my phone number. Very uncool.

Anonymous Asswipe: Stalker much? Post the picture of me in my younger days, I don't give a fuck. It has to be fake, there are no real pics of me older than a year or two on the web.

  41. Elfie:

Yeah, I agree with you. Taylor Swift is NOT in my top ten, but she didn't deserve that bullsh!t. At least Beyonce was being a class act, and allowed her to finish her acceptance speech. It made me proud to be from Houston when she did that.

  45. We had a booth at the County Fair and I've manned it for the last two days and after some of the shit I've seen, nobody needs to call me a hillbilly. Jesus H. Christ, there were people you'd never see on the People of Walmart site because these Hill Rods have never been to a Walmart. I'd've taken pictures but I was afraid I'd get shot if I did. Apparently Marion County and Ozark County, Missouri emptied their fucking backwoods out and sent them to the Baxter County Fair. I saw pregnant women with kids 10 months apart smoking, 16 year olds with two kids, incredibly fat bastards in camo and NASCAR caps, or camo NASCAR hats. No fucking wonder we get made fun of. Mountain Home is apparently a fucking oasis of civilization in a sea of cousin fucking meth heads.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Next time take some pics man, that would have been great.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I was afraid to take any pics because I figured most of the guys and half of the women I saw were wanted for something. The little ol' young cowgirls I saw were cute as hell. I haven't been to the fair here since 1978 and I'd forgotten what it was like.

Google Hootin' and Hollerin' and Gainesville, Missouri if you want to see some real hillbilly shit, though.

  59. Spurs,
Didn't mean to snub you last night I took off to the Cubs/Cards game after I posted. Things are going good......

    QB,
Looks like Spurs answered your question. I got frustrated with the church as well, haven't been in about 7-8/yrs. Basically I haven't ruled out God (like atheists), I just feel I/we really don't know for sure if he/she truly is real........

    ReplyDelete
  60. No problem Francis. Hope you enjoyed the game.

    ReplyDelete
  61. This is the best Kanye "I'mma let you finish.." thing ever :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Having absolutely zero evidence that "God", or any other characters involved in various religions are real or ever existed, is pretty damn close to being sure he isn't real. There is mountains of empirical data against religion, and not a single shred in favor. The idea of "faith" is to ignore all of that and maintain a stubborn belief.

    ReplyDelete
  63. While we're on the topic, I saw a news cast showing the god-squad up in arms over schools including homosexual tolerant-friendly curriculum. They claim it indoctrinates children.

Anybody else see the glaring irony in that?

    ReplyDelete
  64. I understand your doubt EV. I have been there before myself. But, I promise you it is not all science. Im not saying God is the traditional God (a man who lives in the sky)that you learn about when you're little. But, I PROMISE there is GOD. I know you dont know me from Adam so my word may be of little worth to you but I just thought I would share.

    ReplyDelete
  65. You have been where yourself? Enlightenment? Then why did you abandon it?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I meant I have been where you are... in doubt.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think you mistake doubt for sureness. There isn't a single cell in me that feels there is a possibility of an omnipotent being having created everything. Even if, theoretically, there was a creator, who created the creator? There is no absolute when you throw all answers into a category of "we will never know and shouldn't even try to find out, because 'he' did it".

But, just for the sake of argument. By "traditional" god, are you referring to the Christian god? As in, the god many believe influenced the writing of the bible?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yes, that is the God I was referring to, but No religion is right or wrong. They all point to the same place. The little details that seperate them are of no matter really. They all pray to the same source regardless of which name they choose to refer to "him" by.

    ReplyDelete
  69. In reference to you being sure, I respect your right to an opinion and again I understand where you are coming from. I wouldn't sit here today telling you I was positive based on faith or what I was taught in Sunday school. I know what I know, but also I realize it takes more than hearing about it secondhand to convince people, myself included. I will add though that God is not a being in the sense that I think you are picturing it. God is not a He or a She.

    ReplyDelete
  70. No, I believe there is one God. People (Christians) are the crew that get the worst wrap, because the majority of them (especially when preaching to you) don't really know much about the Bible, and go ahead and just translate it they way they want it to read, or just misintrepret the message.

I'll give you an example. People say, "Jesus is the Son of God." Then Christians can use that as believing there's is the one true religion, and their bashers just can use that to dismiss the faith.

Nowhere in the Bible does it read, "Jesus is the Only son of God." You have preachers teaching false doctrine to people to confuse them, and also use the church as a moneymaker, I guess overlooking the part of the Bible that advises to take care of the poor. So those types of churces are immediately dismissed by me as being foolish, and if they REALLY do believe what they are reading, then they are in for a RUDE awakening.

Then you can go to the Muslims and Allah and the Prophet Muhammed. I wonder if the Muslims who hate Christians forget to read the part of Jesus in the Koran. He's the most quoted prophet in that book.I've never read all the Koran, but from what I read, it seems to be a very peaceful religion.

I mean, who is teaching the people who follow these faiths the teachings? I mean, it's as if they don't even know what they are doing.

I think all religions have something deep rooted in them (I've gone as far as Buddhism....kind of like it), and I've done my fair share of studying.

Now on to God. I believe there is one God. I mean, who created us. Did we hatch from eggs? Fuck no. Did we evolve from roaches? Nope. Monkeys? Why are there still monkeys?

The Big Bang Theory? What a bunch of shit that is.

I mean, we had to be created by someone, right? Or did we just appear out of thin air?

The problem people have with the "religions" are the BIG TIME HYPOCRITES who teach these faiths.

Another problem? People talking like they know all about these "religions" when they have NEVER picked up the Bible, the Koran, or whatever it may be, and actually read what was taught.

    ReplyDelete
  71. (I was answering EV- just saw your reply spurs)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yeah, I typed quite a bit, didn't I? I knew who you were referring to.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Many practices have been abandoned, some have been added, some are preached by one religion and condemned by another. One of them has to be wrong at some point. Or maybe it's just all of them?

Anyway, you say they all point to the same place. What do you mean by that? Obviously, if they preach to the god defined within their own religion, there is counter-productiveness going on. They do not pray to the same god, in fact some of the gods from other religions are characters, but not absolutes in another religion. Somalians believe jesus was a friend of their god, but that their god could "break" jesus if he wanted. Clearly these people are not seeing eye-to-eye on these issues.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Buddhism is good, and actually closer to accurate than some of the other more popular ones.

    ReplyDelete
  75. EV:

Well of course they don't see "eye-to-eye" because: (and I am really referring to the "codemning")

    1. A lot of what you see in the media are the "religious radicals"

    2. The majority of the disciples of these religions are taught wrong (at least, I believe)

    3. The majority of these people have never studied other religions to see what the facts are, and are just sheep and follow other people.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Spurs - I get what you're saying about barking up your average misguided person and picking apart their arguing points easily to dismiss them. I've come across many people - and really - the reason I continue to tread on religious debates is because I want to see other views points laid on the table. As of yet I haven't come across anything remotely compelling. It seems to all draw back to "faith" and to me, that idea is just a crock of shit. You just have to "believe" it's there, but you may never see it. You'd have to dismiss a lot of what science has told us to take many of the bibles "teachings" as literal.

But what is the point of it all? To teach us to be good people? To live amongst one-another? And if current day translation is wrong, then where has the correct translation survived over the years? When I hear people talk about "those" who give religion a bad name, I fail to be shown the source that is doing it all right.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Spurs - I hear you on the "sheep" bit. But, I fail to see where studying other points of view will come across an absolute truth? Unless you're suggesting that all religions are just hear-say revolving around the "real" story. Which brings me back to my other question, how could one possibly discern which is factual? To me, this is just another evolved form of "your beliefs are wrong, but mine are right".

    ReplyDelete
  78. "When I hear people talk about "those" who give religion a bad name, I fail to be shown the source that is doing it all right."

Very true. That is a good point, you don't see or hear much of the good, do you? (I'm not being "cute" when I write that either).

Well, I have a question for you then. If there is no God (I've debated this with myself many times), how did we come to exist on earth? You see, I'm always open to hear something that hits home to me how we came about.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Youre focusing on the details too much. All those little defining factors do not really matter. Religions are great guides, nothing more. God is not a single being or character per say but it does not matter if someone prays to Allah- they are not wrong. Allah represents the source. Yes of course there is only one TRUTH. But whichever religion a man or a woman chooses as their guide is up to them. It will not hinder their spiritual growth and when their soul evolves to a certain level, they will learn The Truth.

    ReplyDelete
  80. EV:

I really don't think there is ONE right, but I do believe there is ONE God, you know what I mean?

Look like I said, if I can ever hear a theory that would make more sense than that we were created by a higher being, I might change my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  81. And EV in reference to your question about how do we know which one is factual... I wrestled with that in my mind for many years. I was raised Catholic, but I didn't want to be cattle and become Catholic simply because my family was Catholic. I wanted to decide for myself, but would become frustrated and feared picking the "wrong one." I wanted to know the Truth.
And then one day, when I least expected it, the Truth found me. Not just found me but knocked me on my ass. Honestly, there are no words I can use to fully describe the experience. What I can tell you is that 100% without a doubt there is GOD.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Well, that's sort of the point I'm getting at. No one knows how we ended up here, but religion merely throws responsibility into the hands of a creator. A creator of what? A flawed design? It's proven that a majority of species on this planet died before it could adapt. Species continue to die out, and we're left with the dominant genes that evolved. We have proven micro-evolution.

I believe the idea of god is a man-made theory. It attempts to find an answer to what we do not know. This is somewhat proven in that all religious documents reflect scientific advances of their time, but nothing that we've come to discover today. There are no mentions of dinsosaurs (not until new scriptures were written, anyway) or of any of the microscopic lifeforms we have discovered. Whether there is a creator or not is debatable, but only through scientific process will we be ever to discover such a truth.

    ReplyDelete
  83. And yes Spurs there is ONE GOD.

    ReplyDelete
  84. IndigoGirl - How did the truth find you? I ask this, because I've heard this statement made many times. I've heard people claim that "god" exposed himself to them through various ways. Pretty much every instance was unexplainable which falls back to the circular logic that we attribute every explainable instance to this creator whom we cannot see.

I believe in the flawed human perception. How everyone feels like they have pretty shitty luck, or things just happen when they least favor them to happen, or vice-versa in the idea of "miracles". Ever hear/learn a word you didn't see or hear very much, and from that point on seem like you heard or seen it a bunch of times? Or maybe you never noticed a certain car, but one day you found out what it was and started seeing it more often on the road. This isn't just "chance" or "fate", this is the flawed human perception. I don't want to belittle anyone's personal experiences, but I think perception could be a factor in a lot of these revelations.

    ReplyDelete
  85. unexplainable* - first paragraph last sentence.

    ReplyDelete
  86. sorry, not ignoring you- got a phone call. Ill be back in a few.

    ReplyDelete
  87. has anyone seen 'jesus camp'? god and jesus and satan are fictional characters made up by an over zealous business called religion. if the bible proves the existence of god then comic books prove the existence of superman.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Nobody here said the Bible proves the existence of God.

    ReplyDelete
  89. you missed the whole point of that statement. sorry i cant break it down any further.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Yeah, I missed the point. You watched a documentary on some nuts, then you stated the religion is based on fictional characters created by business zealots and that "if the bible proves the existence of god then comic books prove the existence of superman."

How should I have responded to that? I mean, it wasn't a revolutionary thought by you.

Sorry I haven't seen that movie.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Religion is all fake and created for one purpose, to control the masses.
Without it and the fear associated with it, there would be chaos.
Man would have no fear of repurcussions from a higher unknown being and would kill, murder, rape and generally take whatever he wanted.
It would be the beginning of the end if no one believed in a higher being.

    ReplyDelete
  92. So basically you are saying that it serves a purpose even if it is fake?

    ReplyDelete
  93. its similar to bush's terror alert levels.

    ReplyDelete
  94. besides, anyone can find a purpose in anything.

    ReplyDelete
  95. "its similar to bush's terror alert levels."

From the same person who wrote about comic books and a documentary, and used that as an argument.

    WELL DONE.

    ReplyDelete
  96. for example, a rock can be used as a weapon or a paperweight.

    ReplyDelete
  97. meaning bush's terror alert levels were used for fear mongering. again, you missed the point.

    ReplyDelete
  98. You're already back from the dead?

You must be like Jesus then, being able to resurrect yourself on here.

    ReplyDelete
  99. another example of finding use in useless things, a bibles pages make great rolling paper when you have run out of zig-zags.

    ReplyDelete
  100. naw, i get too distracted by minor details.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Seems that way. Any details, large and small.

    ReplyDelete
  102. kinda like oscar wilde did.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I was thinking of a book for people who can't read.

    ReplyDelete
  104. EV, I assure you that what happened to me was nothing simple that had merely to do with my "perception" of things. It was also nothing like what I always thought GOD revealing himself would be like. It changed my entire outlook comletely on things from what I had been brought up to believe. The "big picture" is so mind-boggling that it is almost virtually impossible to completely wrap your mind around. And honestly, if someone had simply told me the truth about things I am certain I would not have believed it and probably would have thought they were off their rocker.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I can attest to bible paper making a great joint. I doubt it's what the guy had in mind when he handed me a copy of the new testament after I left school. I suppose that is morally wrong to some people.

    ReplyDelete
  106. IndigoGirl - Please, explain to me how he revealed himself to you. This is the point in which it always seems to get real vague.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Spurs,

yes, it serves a purpose even though it is fake.
That is why I would never publicly debunk it or write a book debunking religion.
If people actually listened and believed it, we would all be dead.
It would be chaos on an unbelievable level.
As they say in the movies, it would be an Extinction Level Event.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Anon:
I do know what you are referring to about religion being used as a fear tactic. I am not pitching any certain religion or a vengeful GOD. As I said before, religion is a guide for people. It is not the Truth.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I understand your point anonymous, and yes, I know you are a different anon. than the other one. At least you made some sense.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Indigo girl:

Exactly. Anonymous is taking the "fire and brimestone" preachers and using them as an argument.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Thanks Spurs.

Even though I know it is fake, if I had children, I would still have them go to church and so on. It would not hurt them to follow the rules of the church.
Then could make up their mind later on what they wanted to believe, but the fundamentals are sound.
The worst people are the ones that think only people that believe in their religion will go to heaven and no one else.
I believe that if there is a heaven, as long as you are a good and decent person, you would get in, even if you had never known any religion or God in your whole life.

    ReplyDelete
  112. No problem anonymous. Yes, I do agree with you on the religions who believe there's is the only one path. Little ballsy, I believe.

    As far the fundamentals? Exactly.

  114. Ok, deaf too then.

How about we just make the person a fucking corpse?

    ReplyDelete
  115. EV, what I am speaking of took place over a period of about 4 months. It was not in the traditional way you would imagine like appearing in a vision to me. It was FAR greater and again it is impossible for me to truly relay the experience to you in words. I really wish I could. I didn't even know what was happening to me at first, I went through several theories before figuring out what it really was. I honestly thought I was losing my mind when it first started, very intense. An Awakening as it is referred to may be far less intense for others than it was for me since I am a little different.

    ReplyDelete
  116. deaf? theres braille. what else you got?

    ReplyDelete
  117. a corpse is no longer a person then and since they are dead they cannot read. thats a moot argument.

    ReplyDelete
  118. About time. 10 comments in, and you finally made some fucking sense.

Here, I'll loft you up a softball:

What is 30+15? Just wanted you to have another semi-victory.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Why would you send your kids to church for the morals and not teach them yourself? That to me just sounds like side-line parenting.

The notion that there would be chaos if religion didn't exist is laughable. More people have died in the name of god and religion than for any other purpose. It wasn't until religion played less and less of a governing force that we escaped much of the previous backward progression.

    ReplyDelete
  120. the bible can give you that answer.

  124. IndigoGirl - And they all end the same way. I couldn't show you it in material forms or give you a run-though, but it happened. There was obviously some reasoning that attributed the unexplained to the creator. What was the connecting spark? This is exactly the last phase I get with all these revelations. I could probably write a book with how many times I've been told that it wasn't perception, and it was a series of events that couldn't be displayed in a understandable manner. But, it was the creator....I just KNOW it was the creator. I'm not trying to be pushy, but this is a redundant phase.

indigo, maybe you should be asking yourself that question. can you prove beyond a reasonable doubt with physical evidence that god really does exist? if this sounds like a court of law, it is.

    ReplyDelete
  126. And EV, I don't think anonymous's argument applies to everyone. But I do believe that if religion didn't exist, a lot of people would be "lost" so to speak.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Thanks Spurs,

for example, I was robbed at gunpoint by a guy with a loaded gun about 2 years ago.
He did not shoot me even though he could have.
What if he did not shoot and kill me because he was worried about going to hell.
Take away the fear factor and the fear of going to hell and put that same guy in the same situation again and he might just pull the trigger without a second thought.
    You never know.

    ReplyDelete
  128. i dont agree completely with the other anons statement because we still have the laws of man. example, if you knew that if you got caught stealing that you were going to have your hand chopped off would you risk the chance of stealing and getting caught?

    ReplyDelete
  129. what if he just didnt want anyone to hear the gunshot and see him? maybe he just didnt want to go to prison for the rest of is life? or maybe hes just a thief but not a murderer?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Getting your hand chopped off is not nearly as scary as burning in hell FOREVER.

Imagine the concept of never ending pain and torture forever and ever and ever. Not 10 years, Not a hundred years, forever.

Which one would you rather have?

    ReplyDelete
  131. Anonymous:

As far as you getting robbed? I think the guy was too scared to shoot, or maybe he was afraid of getting caught. I don't think people who do bad things and don't take it further are necessarily worried about hell, or people don't do bad things don't do them because of worry about going to hell, but I do believe if religion didn't exist, the world would be a much worse place.

    ReplyDelete
  132. eh, i would rather not be a thief because my parents raised me right. so i dont have to worry about either choice.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Like I said, I have no idea why he did not do it.
I am just saying that there is a possibility that he did not shoot me and kill me because of religion and that is not a bad thing.
I would rather have that in the back of someone's head than not.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Bit I don't discount that there are some people who don't do bad things because they are worried of a "Judgement Day."

    ReplyDelete
  135. Relgion was created by man at one point in time. We did not just wake up to a bunch of scriptures and morals written on stone laying around one day. They were birthed without religion, I'd argue that they'd still exist if it was never fabricated.

Not to mention, other religions have compeltely different forms of views. People are still raped and killed in the name of religion or a god. Clearly, we are not rid of the chaos that supposedly exists with the absence of religion. Might I also add that many of the "evolved" forms of morals regarding religion have changed over the years. At one point in time, it was completely moral to end someones life because they didn't agree with religion.

You can instill morals and values in children without religion. It happens everyday. Believing otherwise would just be a false sense of reason.

    ReplyDelete
  136. and besides, if hell existed how does anyone alive know what its like? maybe hell is really kinda like a really cool luau with a never ending keg.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Spurs,

    He was not afraid.
He had 2 prior felonies for robbery and so on.
He was not afraid of getting caught because he robbed me when I was getting in my car in a pretty affluent area far away from the hood where he lived.I was parked in a well lit area right next to the building, not even in the parking lot.
He is doing the full 15 years because he would not give up his accomplices.
He could have had it knocked down to 5 years.

    ReplyDelete
  138. The concept of hell was to keep the faithful, faithful. I've never contemplated shooting anyone in my life, and it's not because I don't own a firearm. I don't believe there is a hell, but I do believe in a prison system that works pretty damn well at keeping a lot of people civil.

    ReplyDelete
  139. ev, i agree. if i had to take somebodys life i would. i wouldnt have a conscience about it or a fear of hell. i would have a will to live and thats exactly what i would do.

    ReplyDelete
  140. If you believe religion if fake then you believe it is man-made. If you believe it is man-made, then where do you suppose man came upon those sets of morals and guidelines? Your logic doesn't make sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Lol.

The general consensus in every religion is that hell, purgatory whatever is not a cool luau with a keg.

I am willing to bet if there is a hell, Hitler is not enjoying a luau with a keg.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Anon - Going on that theory, if most of the company that seems interesting to interact with are sinful, then how bad of a place could hell really be if you're surrounded in the people you surrounded yourself "up top"? Heaven would probably be full of a lot of tight-assed bland personality individuals.

    ReplyDelete

Damn, you are lucky to be alive, but I guess you know that.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Did it ever occur to you that people came up with the morals and values because there was chaos and someone decided to solve the problem?

Maybe a group of people got tired of having their stuff stolen, their wives, girlfriends daughters raped or taken away from them and so on.

People come up with solutions to problems everyday, why not for creating an orderly society?

  145. can you imagine having to spend eterntiy with boring people like ghandi or mother theresa? lame. i would rather party with hendrix and morrison.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I could make a list of events I suppose, but it would be very long and still would not make you truly understand. I will say this, the communication which came in various forms, was not from a "creator" as in the sense of a man sitting on a throne somewhere. It was from spirits, some good- like angels/guides some not so nice- i wouldn't necessarily call them demons, just dark. I realize now that they had been talking to me for years but in much more subtle ways. I noticed them but disregarded the significance, probably for the reason you stated earlier- I thought it was just random coincedence. Let me tell you something- NOTHING is coincedence- EVERYTHING happens for a reason. So PAY ATTENTION- and if you feel like something is a sign, it most likely IS! T I would attempt tell you the truth about some things but you wouldn't believe me anyway at the stage you are at, just as most people wouldn't, so I'll keep it to myself since this is all public and I'd rather not have to deal with criticisms from ignorant people who may stumble upon this thread.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Spurs,

I am definitely lucky to be alive.
I have come close to death or being hurt badly several times and I have come out OK.
With the robbery situation, the main reason I cam out OK was that I remained super calm throughout the whole deal and never asked him any questions.
It was weird because it did not hit me for about 2 days and then I got super pissed.
Then about 3 months later I was calm and even asked for them to not give him the 15 years and cut it down to 3 or 5 years. I did not want him coming out of prison and hating me for ruining his whole life and hunting me down.

    ReplyDelete
  148. "indigo, maybe you should be asking yourself that question. can you prove beyond a reasonable doubt with physical evidence that god really does exist? if this sounds like a court of law, it is."

I was talking to the guy who kept going on and on about writing a book.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Anonymous:

That was cool how you handled that. Nice.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Indigo:

I like how "handle" yourself on here.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Indigo Girl, no one has been talking about writing a book.

The not being able to refute it argument is a weak argument. If you go through the bible it is easy to pick it apart piece by piece.

The easiest way to control people is to tell them that the unprovable should not be questioned and that it is a sin to question it. It is a foolproof way to maintain control.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Anonymous:

Just curious, how many times have you actually been through the Bible to "pick it apart?"

    ReplyDelete
  153. Because you would have to convince a society that those rules should govern them. Not a very easy thing to do unless you already hold control over a large community of servants.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Spurs,

fortunately or unfortunately my previous situations that were bad and scary prepared me for having a gun in my face.

I deal with bad areas in my business and I have some pretty badass friends and have ended up in some messes up situations just by being around them. There is nothing worse than being caught up in a bad situation and you are not a criminal and not making a dime off of the situation and you are still possibly going to die. That gets old real quick.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Now I'm curious as to what you do.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Spurs,

In my country where I am from, in addition to the church, you actually have to go through bible study every year in school. So I know it very in depth.

    ReplyDelete
  157. IndigoGirl - There you've more or less proven my point. All those things aren't just coincidence, they are SIGNS. At least, to you. Think hard enough into it and you will see that a lot of these instances are just connections formed in our own conscience. They are only signs if you perceive them as so.

We could build an entire theory based around a certain set of events, or we could just take it as a simple coincidence. It happened, to others it may not have been significant, to someone else it may become an answer.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Anonymous: (this is a different one)

Liquor stores? That's cool. As far as your friends' business? I hear you on that.

  161. When caught in obvious contradictions, bible believers simply reinterpret the bible. When caught again, they reinterpret it again with another twist. Bible academics will pull their hair out attempting to rationalize away these contradictions with complex answers that exhaust the reader instead of enlightening them. It's almost like observing a high-priced lawyer giving a "Chewbacca" defense -- where the aim of the argument is to confuse the jury. The simple truth is that many of these contradictions are in fact contradictions.

  163. Spurs, I will keep my country anonymous for now. We are under the British system however.

As I said the Bible is fabricated and is full of holes, but it fools the masses sufficiently and keeps society in general order so I have no problem with it.

I would much rather people follow the Bible or Buddhism than Islam. Islam just plain scares me..

  167. What exactly do some of you perceive this life to be? Is this life just gods way of weeding out the unworthy? What is the purpose of going through the rat-race of what to believe and what not to believe? Why are there dark forces transpiring to pull us to the "other" side, and why does god speak to people through various "signs"? Is that not a breach of free will which is generally what the whole purpose seems to overcome?

Sometimes I ponder whether religion was a very complex story, or just a very shitty one.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Spurs,

    South Park rocks.

What is funny is that the best and most giving person that I know is one of my friends that has the job that the federal government frowns upon.
Even though he would be considered a bad guy, he takes care of all his friends and his family and his daughter and her mother. He does more for people than the so called upstanding citizens in the town where I live.
I think that that is an interesting contradiction in life.

You may only have one life to live so you should try to enjoy it as much as you can.

  173. You are not understanding me.... YES there are signs everywhere. What happened to ME, was on a completely different scale... The little synchronicities are what had been happenening for years. I, like you, have always been a skeptic. Show Me, Prove it etc... A Truth Seeker. TRUST ME what I am speaking of was no mere signs.... I would compare it to an alter-reality almost, a heightened sense of things with things/signs happening non-stop and in ways that seemed inconceivable. And Yes there was direct communication also. That is as far as Im going to go into to it. I am sorry. I am not here to convince anyone. It is not my purpose and as anonymous said there is no concrete evidence I can present you. You will know when its your time, and then you will understand.

  176. Anon - I do live my life based on however I enjoy it. Those questions I posed may have given you the impression that I actually seek the answer to them. I don't, because I don't believe that is how things play out. I don't believe there are dark forces or that "god" speaks to us in anyway shape or form. Those are more or less questions to those who seem to think that there are answers to them.

Other anon (I think, you guys should really create a name to stamp next to your thoughts) - Kind of funny you mention that. This country is so ass-backward anymore. As George Carlin once put it; "there is 'just' enough bullshit to keep this country afloat". It can all be chalked down to power and money. One or both of those things controls every single thing that goes on in this country.
