Arizona House Passes Immigration Bill

The Arizona House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a wide-ranging bill that, if signed by Gov. Jan Brewer, would cement the state's reputation as the leader in tough and controversial immigration-control measures.

Senate Bill 1070 would, among other things, make it a state crime to be in the country illegally and bar what its proponents call "sanctuary city" policies. The bill passed on a party-line vote.

The bill goes back to the Senate for agreement on changes the House added. That OK is expected because the bill's sponsor, Sen. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, helped House members write the amendment.

After that, the bill goes to Brewer.

I wasn't going to post this, but I was thinking CBT might want some motivation the day before he gives his big bullshit speech.

  1. I don't feel like reading all this but if it's not a state crime now, what is it?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Jan Brewer hasn't signed it yet so it's not a state crime now.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I mean it will be a state crime. She's expected to sign it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Its an immigration infraction

    ReplyDelete
  5. so long wetbacks! dont let the door hit your ass on the way out!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I guess Anonymous likes the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Unless you are already a criminal or get caught entering illegally, then that is a federal crime

    ReplyDelete
  8. So in other words if you've been convicted of a crime here before, get deported and then cross again and get arrested, that's when it's a crime now.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Meant to put a ? mark at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  10. my cousin and i had a discussion about illegals before. they go crying to the media about being here for 20 years and they dont want to go back and blah blah blah...ok, if you have been here for 20 years why didnt you bother getting a green card and becoming legal? now that your ass is gonna be shipped back to the murder capital of the world? fuck no! get out!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I am really surprised you didn't attach me, the wetback, to this, yet put me on some blind porn. Where in the hell did that come from?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't know. Probably leftover bitterness from Romero.

    ReplyDelete
  13. And I don't consider you a wetback.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Thank you Wop for the information and thanks for nothing spurs.

I just always assumed it was a crime already.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Forgive me for not hitting up my law library DG.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Don't mind his blind porn bh. That is just spurs way of trying to be funny. I give him a 6.2 on a scale of 1-100.

    ReplyDelete
  17. K? What are you kewl now?

    ReplyDelete
  18. No, I sometimes just a hit a key and post it to move the comments along when they freeze up.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't mind it. It didn't give me any emotional jolt in any sense. no laughter, no snort, no anger, no grimace, no nothing.
    Pretty bland, Spurs.

    ReplyDelete
  20. and you deleted it? Nice cover.

    ReplyDelete
  21. All right bitchhog, I forgot you never throw out insults, sorry about that. I won't do it again.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Did you read my comment? Other people have seen the letters too. Sometimes I'll use a j, or and l, or a k, or a f.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bh's insults are funny and interesting to read, spurs. That is where you are lacking in your insults.

    ReplyDelete
  24. my cousin agreed with me (neither he nor i are illegal). i think america has bent the fuck over backwards to accommodate these people. just about everything is in english and mexican now.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think it's spanish Anonymous, but I get your point.

    ReplyDelete
  26. they bastardized the spanish language. what they speak is garble compared to the spanish spoken in spain.

    ReplyDelete
  27. but we also have ourselves to blame for letting it go on for so long. illegals are nothing new here. they have been around for decades and i dont think this law is gonna really help. you have to remember that they crossed here illegaly to begin with, whats this gonna do to deter them?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I guess you'll find out. Unless Brewer nixes it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. hhmmm...brewer. shes a fucking idiot. she could find a cure for cancer but throw it out because she would rather have a cure for the common cold.

    ReplyDelete
  30. shes the one that sold the state buildings.....just to lease them back.

    ReplyDelete
  31. and the state is gonna owe millions in interest to the lease holders when its all said and done. more than what the state is in debt right now. the only thing that will do is put the state further in debt.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That seems to be a common trend.

    ReplyDelete
  33. yeah...short term sell out only with a long term debt. and these are our leaders. i vote for anarchy.

    ReplyDelete
  34. That would be interesting to see what total anarchy was like.

    ReplyDelete
  35. If it is going to be a crime to be here illegally then what are we going to do? Fine them knowing that don't have any money or put them in jail and pay for their food and lodging?

    ReplyDelete
  36. throw them in a giant meat grinder.

    ReplyDelete
  37. That's probably not in the bill.

    ReplyDelete
  38. dont be a snob. yes it is. would you want to cross a border illegally if you knew that was gonna happen to you?

    ReplyDelete
  39. lol...jk...its not in the bill, but it should be!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, if that did put that in the bill, you're right. I think it would probably be a deterrent.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree. The only way they will stop crossing the border is if they know getting caught will make their life worse than it already is.

The meat grinder is a little extreme but maybe cut off a foot to make it harder to cross the next time.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I suppose having a foot cut off would make someone think twice as well.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Maybe just the toes. Only because I'm feeling nice today.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Actually, work was slow today but I had a good day anyway since I like the people I work with.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That's good. It is nice to like the people you work with.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Shat does this bill say about the crime in terms of punishing people for illegally crossing. Fine them, jail them.. send them back and tell Mexico to jail them?

    ReplyDelete
  47. It must be one hell of a process to go through to become legal here. Did you hear they finally legalized the guy who held down the shoe bomber? It took him 10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  48. And it looks like if you are caught without a green card you are charged with a misdemeanor and a fine.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I know people from Mexico and other countries that are not citizens and are serving in the military or are veterans... that doesn't seem right to me

    ReplyDelete
  50. So you think they should be given amnesty Astrid?

    ReplyDelete
  51. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100410/ap_on_re_us/us_hero_citizen

    ReplyDelete
  52. I don't think it's fair to fine for not having a green card on them... sometimes people forget their IDs, but if they have a valid green card that should be good enough

    ReplyDelete
  53. That was an interesting article.

    ReplyDelete
  54. spurs.. I don't live in the south, so it's not as big to me as some other people. I am not as informed about the debate as I should be, but, based on what I do know, I don't see a problem with amnesty..

    ReplyDelete
  55. Just take a look at CA to see what illegal immigration has done to that state.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It isn't easy to become an American citizen.. most Americans couldn't even pass the citizenship test if they tried..

    ReplyDelete
  57. Spurs.. I understand where you are going with CA.. I don't understand why it's controversial to give them amnesty though

    ReplyDelete
  58. Because if they announce amnesty, can you imagine how many people will flood here before it happens?

    ReplyDelete
  59. But even if they do grant amnesty, I don't really see it affecting me. Probably higher taxes, but I can't see it reeking havoc on my life.

    ReplyDelete
  60. They should make some americans take the test and if they fail we can send them to mexico too.

    ReplyDelete
  61. No, Mexico doesn't allow illegal immigrants.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Why would you give them amnesty? It's like rewarding them for doing something illegal.

    ReplyDelete
  63. but it seems like the tax burden would be spread out to more people.. also they would have the same labour rights, so Americans would not have to compete with them in terms of low wages, it would be about skill

    ReplyDelete
  64. You do make a good argument. The question is, how many people would flock here and then live off government assistance?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I do agree that we should have some sort of penalty they face when trying to come into our country illegally. Not sure about cutting off a foot, but maybe use them for medical testing or other experiments.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous would go for bullet experiments.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Spurs I honestly don't know of any immigrants coming here just to collect welfare

    ReplyDelete
  68. Most of the people from the latin countries work really really hard, and are paid shit for it

    ReplyDelete
  69. You don't think woman cross the border to give birth here at hospitals?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Well, it is the land of opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  71. This video made me laugh...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_1YgYdGzXA

    ReplyDelete
  72. that is right.. why do they do that? Is the baby likely to get American citizenship or the health care is better?

I suppose if they want something for free, they could give birth in their country and just not pay the bill like millions of Americans every year..

    ReplyDelete
  73. LOL, she sounds like a sea lion after she falls.

    ReplyDelete
  74. That was a good video. I like the anchors' reactions.

    ReplyDelete
  75. she did sound like a sea lion...

    ReplyDelete
  76. Mexico has a lot of problems they need to sort out too.. we did that trade agreement with them, and because they have such shitty labour and environmental laws, lots of American companies are there crowding their people into sweatshops..

I really can't blame some of them for wanting to leave..

    ReplyDelete
  77. Good to see you have a heart hippy.

    ReplyDelete
  78. i agree with 2dirty. why basically tell them that our laws and processes are shit?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Don't forget his experiments idea.

    ReplyDelete
  80. mine field rely races. it could be on espn. if they make it, they can stand in line for citizenship.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think we should make our prisoners work and build shit like factory rats, and then sell to generate government income.. at least they would be productive within society that way

    ReplyDelete
  82. astrid, they already do that with prisoners. but they should do that with wetbacks...they are here ILLEGALLY anyway.

honestly astrid, what do you think would happen to you if mexico caught you doing something illegal over there?

    ReplyDelete
  83. SPURS FAN said...

Good to see you have a heart hippy.

I think we should tell Mexico take care of the problem and fix their shitty laws.. there is a reason so many people would rather sell drugs than work their ass of and still live in povery

    ReplyDelete
  84. They wouldn't extort any money out of her or bang her in the prisons or anything like that.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I am talking about America doing it anon...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Well, that would help, but Mexico isn't ever going to do anything about it.

    ReplyDelete
  87. astrid, i honestly thought you were smarter than this. really. just give them amnesty?

    im embarrassed for you.

    ReplyDelete
  88. talking about america doing what astrid? working convicts? its already being done. giving wetbacks the keys to our front fucking door? no way, jose.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Anon I admitted I am not that informed on the subject.. now tits or GTFO

    ReplyDelete
  90. yeah...all the american factories are in mexico and all the mexican stores are over here. real smart. fucking aye.

    ReplyDelete
  91. some branch of law enforcement in az caught 7 sex offenders that were here illegally the other day. yeah... exactly the kind of people that will be applying for amnesty.

astrid, turd cutter or gtfo my webz!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I bet they were somehow related to kinkyb!tch's ex.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Where is CBT? He needs to plagiarize anon's rants before tomorrow..

    ReplyDelete
  94. What do you think of amnesty spurs?

    ReplyDelete
  95. He's probably resting for his speech. I really do hope someone records that.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I can understand both sides of the argument Astrid, but I lean towards no amnesty.

    ReplyDelete
  97. cbts speech.......epic

    fail....

    of epic proportions.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Where does he live Arkansas? Maybe the tea party will make into the news there..

    ReplyDelete
  99. In Mountain Home. I'm going to be youtubing for that video.

    ReplyDelete
  100. He speech will air live on that radio station he works at.

    ReplyDelete
  101. If we get a zip code we can check google news..

If something is published or aired on the news he better share it with us!

    ReplyDelete
  102. It's at a TEA party 2dirty4u, even though he's supposedly a staunch Democrat. He's written the rant on here. In the comments.

    ReplyDelete

    .... several times

    ReplyDelete
  104. Interesting, a Democrat giving a speach at a tea party event.

    ReplyDelete
  105. if cbt was really smart, he would make that whole speech into one huge contradiction. maybe something like, 'i dont want any foreigners taking my order for my food. thats not what my forefathers envisioned when they came to america.'

but of course, hes not that smart.

I am sure stories like that are more common in the south, near the boarder, than where I am. That kind of shit is unusual here.. but point taken

    ReplyDelete
  107. I just read that Tiger is probably going to divorce now..

    ReplyDelete
  108. Yeah, that's not a surprise. I didn't see how that marriage would work after that. Especially after it came out he banged his 22 year old neighbor. Well, she's 22 now.

    ReplyDelete
  109. He messed around with his neighbor? Or neighbors daughter?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Comments f*cking up? Have I been banned Nik Richie style?

    ReplyDelete
  111. No, the comments are just screwing up Drew. Your comment will post though.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm a V.R.P. here so I was alarmed? (Very Retarded Person)

    ReplyDelete
  113. How did Nik Ritchie ban you from anything Drew?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hi Drew.. your new girlfriend is hot.. she totally looks like a Jersey chick... Bon Jovi

    ReplyDelete
  115. 2dirty4u:

That DB from Mass is pulling an end around with the Tea Party that got him elected.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yeah Drew, and I don't know if you saw, but Francis thinks she looks like The Ultimate Warrior.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Tiger came in fourth and is getting a divorce.. I wonder how much worse it will get for him.

The fact that is wife will never attend another game will be a constant reminder of his douchebagginess..

Can he still pull it off?

    ReplyDelete
  118. I'm not banned 2dirty4u but we have all been in the past. Ask Spursy

    ReplyDelete
  119. He can win.. but is anybody going to forget? I am not sure that his career will ever be the same.. I wonder if he is suicidal at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  120. so is she going to start posting Drew?

    ReplyDelete
  121. are you in love with this chick Drew?

    ReplyDelete
  122. now the comments are fucking up for me... it is weird that it did it to you guys first

    ReplyDelete
  123. Spurs, she is from the Midwest and works a lot but we have talked and she and I plan on teaming up and attack the spuriousness that come's at me

    ReplyDelete
  124. 2dirty is that photo from the Ice Hotel? That is what it looks like to me..

    ReplyDelete
  125. You worked Craigslist in the Midwest too Drew?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yes Astrid, was there last year.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Hey Spurs, do you know who the person is posting under Evil Spurs?

    ReplyDelete
  128. which Ice Hotel did you go too? I know there is one in Canada, in Sweden, and in USA somewhere..

    ReplyDelete
  129. Never worked CL. I am the social network Gigolo.

    ReplyDelete
  130. We went to the original Ice Hotel in Sweden. Badass trip!

    ReplyDelete
  131. How long did you stay in Sweden?

    ReplyDelete
  132. So you hit on chicks off facebook Drew?

    ReplyDelete
  133. I bet that was cool.. is that definitely a stop to go to in Sweden? Did you stay the night in the Hotel or just drink?

And if you did stay in the Hotel did you freeze all night?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hi guys... I'm not dead!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Damn Streets, nice of you to check in finally.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I've been Tony the Tiger greeeeeeeeeeeeat!
I have an interview tomorrow, I'm nervous and I feel like a traitor.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Sweet. Congrats, it should go well for you.

    ReplyDelete
  138. How have you been Sours?

    ReplyDelete
  139. And I wouldn't feel like a traitor if I were you.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Streets:
Has Obama Plan extended your unemployment benefits and increased your food stamps?

    ReplyDelete
  141. Thanks, I hope I do well... it's for an accountant position, I want to be like you when I grow up Sours!

    ReplyDelete
  142. I don't blame you Skeets. That would be great if you got the job.

    ReplyDelete
  143. spurs can mentor you..

    ReplyDelete
  144. But I'm not an accountant. Only CPAs are considered accountants.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Have you ever noticed that every pic that Nik and Ari take out in the club they are always standing on the couch as to appear taller?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Yes, we stayed in the normal accomodations and one night in the actualy ice hotel. The thing about that is they tell you to stay up as late as possible before going to your room to try and sleep. So we closed down the Absolut Vodka Bar and then passed out on the ice bed. That was one of the best trips I've had, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  147. So Spurs, who is your evil twin?

    ReplyDelete
  148. I still consider non CPAs to be accountants.. you can be a CPA or a non-CPA accountant

Most CPAs say they are CPAs instead of accountants

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yeah I'd be happy and scared at the smae time. I don't do well with change but I ready for it.

Drew!~ I am a productive member of society, I don't leach off of the government.

    ReplyDelete
  150. 2dirty4u:

Did you freeze your nuts off?

    ReplyDelete
  151. Well, you can't legally call yourself an accountant. Tax preparer is the term that's used.

    ReplyDelete
  152. ice bed? that sounds uncomfortable..

    ReplyDelete
  153. I really hope you get the job, that way you can say goodbye to your bosses.

    ReplyDelete
  154. And yes Drew, Nik and Ari stand on couches.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I am not a CPA? So then I wont be an accountant?

    ReplyDelete
  156. No, it wasn't bad. They keep the hotel at -30, but since it's dry there, -60 outside wasn't that bad. Was kind of nice actually. That trip modivated me to go to Antartica this year. Then again, I like cold weather.

    ReplyDelete
  157. All I'm saying is you can't legally advertise yourself as an accountant.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Streets:

I hope you get the job :)

    ReplyDelete
  159. Some people have a degree in accounting but don't have a CPA. They still get accounting jobs. I guess it depends on the type of work you're doing. If you work with the general ledger for a company or you prepare tax. I can see why you wouldn't call yourself an accountant if you just do tax though.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I hope you get the job too.. is it tax or bookkeeping?

    ReplyDelete
  161. I didn't write you couldn't get an accounting job.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Spurs:
You should make a collage of them standing on couches. I have pics from AC plus they are all over the dirty

    ReplyDelete
  163. Asstrid is point on. I have a degree in accounting but never went for my CPA.

    ReplyDelete
  164. spurs.. I drank merlot.. I hope that clears up any confusion

    ReplyDelete
  165. Point on about what? Accounting jobs? People can get accounting jobs, I'm just saying by definition they aren't considered accountants. Even if they do accounting work. H&R block or those services can't advertise themselves as accountants, even if every employee has accounting degrees.

    ReplyDelete
  166. It's books Astrid.

Thanks guys, I hope I get it too :)

Dirty4U, that sounds cool. I would love to aty int eh ice motel... except I really hate being cold.

    ReplyDelete
  167. the four of us can discuss tax and capital gains with each other.. OMG.. so exciting!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Now you have my Ginnie up Kasey! You are discounting my 4 (actually 5) years in college.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Oh forgive me Drew, I don't even know if you chimed in with anything that was correct, but yeah you're the best and brightest.

    ReplyDelete
  170. it's kind of weird how some of us have *and had* the same careers... there is a lot of tax/accounting and car selling

    How did that happen?

    ReplyDelete
  171. At least I followed my dream! I am a Grifter and proud of it.

    ReplyDelete
  172. i wonder if cbt is drinking raw eggs and hula-hooping to 'eye of the tiger' right about now?

    ReplyDelete
