Helen Thomas Retires

I'm sure most of you have seen what this old bag said about the Jews and Israel, well the great thing is she announced this morning that she's retiring.

On a side note, I really wish that cameraman didn't decide to do such a close up of her.

  1. She seems a little bitter.

What are you up to today, Spurs?

  2. I think she's been bitter for awhile. As for me? Not much. Might leave a little early today, that's about it. What are you up to?

  3. What do you do for work?

I'm not up to much. I've been looking at some photography of dilapidated buildings and factories. Other than that, slow morning.

  4. I work at an accounting office.

Why are you looking at photos of dilapidated buildings and offices?

  5. Something about old industrial machines and tools fascinate me. I also appreciate artistic photography.

I started looking at this type of stuff after I did a renovation in a 60-year-old building. But, I mostly like looking for areas that came up during the industrial revolution.

I'm also sampling areas for setting in a book I want to eventually write in the future.

  6. Interesting.

And you want to write a book?

  7. Eventually, yes. I've wanted to for a few years, but I've mainly been developing the story. This is more of a project I plan to take on over the course of a decade of my life rather than just something I've been meaning to do.

  9. It seems to not like that area at all.

  10. Some of those pictures are exactly what I like to see, Anon. Especially those old power stations in exotic areas.

I was also doing a thing for album covers, and one of my choices was the Battersea power station from Pink Floyd's Animals album.

  11. I really liked those pictures of Battersea and that hydroelectric plant from that one website. I need to stop looking at this shit before I let another two hours pass by.

  12. How she said it was inartful, but what she said was pretty truthful and accurate. I disagree with the go back to germany/poland part, but the continued land grab by Israel and the collective punishment they have exhibited towards those in Gaza is disgusting.

  14. No prob.... Plus she is 89 years old. i don't know about you all, but my grandmother passed when she was 93 and alot of times, her mind could not process the thought before her mouth spit it out.

  15. Great point.

I do like how some female says, "Helen, it's live" during the interview.

  16. Yeah, that was kind of funny. I think when you interview an 89 year old woman, you can frame/spin the interview however you like due to the mental process. Notn saying it was done, but I do think that this is a great way to take the focus off of Israel/flotilla/raid that killed 9 (including an American shot 4 times in the head and 1 time in the chest) and put it on someone who probably doesn't have the energy to fight back.

  17. Another great point. You're right, it does help take away where the real focus should be.
